Who wouldn't like to be fitter and more confident? But do you feel joining a gym
or pounding the pavement seems kind of pointless?
At St Thomas Jitsu Club you can improve your strength, coordination, flexibility
and confidence by learning the practical self defence martial art - Jiu Jitsu.
Jiu Jitsu is a hands-on system that uses simple physics not an individual's
strength or power, so it is ideal for men and women of all ages and fitness
levels.
Based centrally in St-Thomas Hospital in London, close to Waterloo, Lambeth and
Westminster, we are a new club and our basic aim is to teach students how to
defend themselves from all manner of attacks, in a friendly and relaxed
environment. Your instructor will tailor and adapt each session to meet your
individual needs. There are gradings every 3 months which allow you to progress
through the belt structure at your own pace from Novice (White) all the
way to Black.
As an ancient, traditional martial art, the training is not all about the
physical. Techniques you learn and perfect in Jitsu can be used in your
professional and daily lives. You may never need to defend yourself from attack
but wouldn't it be good to feel you have the skills if you have to?

St-Thomas Jitsu Club is part of The Jitsu Foundation which has more than 100
clubs and over 2,500 members in the UK as well as overseas (www.jitsufoundation.org).
We operate on Monday evenings from 7-9pm and also have regional courses
focusing on specific themes such as the use of traditional weapons.
Come along in loose comfortable clothes and give us a try!
The Jitsu Foundation is part of the British Jiu Jitsu Association (BJJA).
